Himlap Camping and Trekking

Himlap camping and trekking site is situated in the lap of majestic Dhauladhar Ranges near Dharamshala. The hub of the camping site is village Thatri. It has a special blessing of nature as it comes under the snowline. It is well connected with roads from Dharamshala via Khaniyara. It is a pleasing place for adventure seekers and campers.

Himlap is a synonym for tranquility as it is located away from the dust and din of the crowded city. Ambience is free from all kinds of pollutants. One can enjoy the calmness of the mountains as well as the crystal clear water of all weather rivulets makes the trip an unforgettable one. These rivulets are fed by the glaciers on Dhauladhar ranges.

HimLap provides you an opportunity to explore the unexplored sites of the region. Trekkers can enjoy trekking to Triund, Himani Chaumnda and Macleodganj the abode of His Holiness Dalai Lama. The lush green pine and fir forest will give a good treat to nature lovers. Besides this one can get acquainted with the flora and fauna of the region.

Last but not the least; Himlap is the dream venture of two brothers, Rajat Dogra and Kush Dogra. We have a deep connection with Thatri village as it is our birth place. Our objective to start Himlap is very holistic one. We want to empower and nourish our village as well as ourselves.

Rajat has a good experience of the Dhauladhar ranges as a tour guide with excellent trekking skills while Kush has the practical knowledge of hosting and managing events. Kush learnt the skills of sustainable tourism & disaster management in tourism from Central university of Himachal Pradesh
