It started as a switchgear industry manufacturer of Terminal Blocks (Din Rail Mounted Connectors) in 1963. It is now known as one of India's leading manufacturers of terminal blocks, thanks to the vision of our founder-chairman Mr. J. D. Ray.

Elmex Electric Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Econix Hi-Tech Components Pvt. Ltd.) was established in 1993 to diversify into a larger product segment and cater to a wider market. It was the first company in India to implement the concept of DIN-rail mounted Interface Modules for the Control and Automation industry.
